DETAILED ITINERARY:

DAY 1: TRANSFER FROM MARRAKECH TO IMLIL

After arrival in Marrakech, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to the charming village of Imlil. Situated amidst the stunning Atlas Mountains, Imlil offers opportunities for exploration and discovery. You'll have the chance to immerse yourself in the local culture and breathtaking scenery. As evening falls, you will spend the night in a cozy local gite, enjoying the tranquility and hospitality of the mountainous region.

DAY 2: TREKKING FROM  IMLIL TO REFUGE TOUBKAL

Upon your arrival in Marrakech, you will receive a warm welcome and be escorted to the picturesque village of Imlil. Nestled amidst the breathtaking Atlas Mountains, Imlil beckons with its enchanting vistas and cultural richness. Here, you'll have the opportunity to delve into the local heritage, surrounded by awe-inspiring scenery. As the evening descends, you'll retreat to a cozy local gite, indulging in the serenity and hospitality of this mountainous haven.

DAY 3: FROM REFUGE TOUBKAL TO IMLIL

In the early morning, we embark on our ascent to the summit of Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in Northern Africa. Our route leads us up the south cirque, crossing the stream above the refuge. While the walking is relatively straightforward, the scree and altitude will pose challenges in parts. Nonetheless, the breathtaking views along the way make the journey immensely rewarding. Upon reaching the summit, you'll be greeted by unrestricted vistas spanning from the Marrakesh Plain to the High Atlas in the north, and as far south as the Anti-Atlas and the Sahara. After reaching the summit, we retrace our steps and descend the mountain, heading back towards Imlil. We spend the night in a local gite in Imlil. The trek lasts approximately 9 hours.

DAY 4: FROM IMLIL TO MARRAKECH AND AIRPORT TRANSFER

Transfer back to Marrakech. Spend the last few hours in Marrakech, exploring its vibrant streets and soaking in the lively atmosphere of the city's bustling souks and historic landmarks. Reflect on the memories made during your Moroccan adventure before departing back home.

RECOMMENDED TREKKING & HIKING EQUIPMENT:

For your trekking we recommend sleeping Bag, day-pack , sunglasses , water bottles : most of the time is possible to buy during the trek from villages, towel, ziplock baggies, needle and thread - safety, pins, camera, batteries. Clothing, sarong (can double as a towel, lightweight sheet or scarf), cotton long sleeved shirt (for intense sun), light wind-proof jacket, a hat (sun), lightweight long pants, 2-3 T-shirts, woolen sweater/fleece, cotton, scarf (doubles as a wash cloth), Hiking boots or hiking shoes, disinfectant creme / gel (Polysporin), bandaids, Ibufrofen (Advil or generic - for pain, swelling), Tylenol (colds and fever), cold medication - Echanacia / zinc lozenges, tweezers, Visine, Aloe vera gel (for burns), Anti-hystamine tablets, diahrrea medication (Immodium) * sunblock * sanitary supplies with ziplock baggies to carry out moisturiser / lip balm with sunblock * book small torch / flash-light (small bicycle lights make good travelling torches) nail clippers wet-wipes soap / shampoo / toothpaste / toothbrush etc ..
