DETAILED ITINERARY:

DAY 1:  FROM MARRAKECH TO IMLIL AND TREK TO REFUGE TOUBKAL

After a transfer to the quaint village of Imlil, our trek begins. We head along the Mizane Valley, passing the village of Aremd before reaching the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch. Continuing eastward, we cross the flood plains and follow mule tracks up into the high rocky cliffs above the valley. After crossing the river, we arrive at the pastoral shrine of Sidi Chamharouch, a popular destination for tourists and pilgrims. The trail steadily ascends, snaking and zigzagging its way up to the snowline and the Toubkal Refuge (3206m), where we stop for the night. The trek lasts approximately 4 to 5 hours.

DAY 2: ATLAS MOUTAINS TREK AND TOUBKAL ASCENT

In the early morning, we embark on our ascent to the summit of Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in Northern Africa. Our route leads us up the south cirque, crossing the stream above the refuge. While the walking is relatively straightforward, the scree and altitude will pose challenges in some parts. However, the stunning views along the way make the journey immensely rewarding. Upon reaching the summit, you'll be greeted by breathtaking vistas across the surrounding landscape. The panorama stretches from the Marrakesh Plain to the High Atlas in the north, and as far south as the Anti-Atlas and the Sahara. After reaching the summit, we retrace our steps and return down the mountain to the Toubkal Refuge, where we will spend the night.

DAY 3: FROM REFUGE TOUBKAL SUMMIT TO IMLIL AND TRANSFER TO MARRAKECH

Today, we hike back from the Toubkal Refuge to Imlil. Upon arrival in Imlil, we will transfer back to Marrakech.

This itinerary serves as a suggested route. If you need modifications or wish to design a different trek, please inform us, and we will gladly tailor your desired Morocco hiking tour.

RECOMMENDED TREKKING & HIKING EQUIPMENT:

For your trekking we recommend sleeping Bag, day-pack , sunglasses , water bottles : most of the time is possible to buy during the trek from villages, towel, ziplock baggies, needle and thread - safety, pins, camera, batteries. Clothing, sarong (can double as a towel, lightweight sheet or scarf), cotton long sleeved shirt (for intense sun), light wind-proof jacket, a hat (sun), lightweight long pants, 2-3 T-shirts, woolen sweater/fleece, cotton, scarf (doubles as a wash cloth), Hiking boots or hiking shoes, disinfectant creme / gel (Polysporin), bandaids, Ibufrofen (Advil or generic - for pain, swelling), Tylenol (colds and fever), cold medication - Echanacia / zinc lozenges, tweezers, Visine, Aloe vera gel (for burns), Anti-hystamine tablets, diahrrea medication (Immodium) * sunblock * sanitary supplies with ziplock baggies to carry out moisturiser / lip balm with sunblock * book small torch / flash-light (small bicycle lights make good travelling torches) nail clippers wet-wipes soap / shampoo / toothpaste / toothbrush etc ..
